Children & Teens

Sunday School

Our children’s Sunday school classes focus on sharing God’s story with children through Bible stories, related activities and memorizing Scripture. Children also have the opportunity to contribute financially to various projects that benefit local and global mission projects.

Maps are posted throughout the church to assist you in finding the right classroom for your child. Or you can find a smiling face to point you in the right direction. Classes begin at age 2 and extend through high school.

Nursery Care

A nursery is offered during the Sunday school hour for children under the age of two. During the worship service, childcare is provided for infants and children age three and under. The nursery is located in the church basement.

Children’s Church

During the morning worship service, children’s church is available for children ages three through pre-kindergarten. Children are dismissed just before the sermon.

Wednesday Bible Class

Our midweek children’s Bible classes are activity oriented. Classes begin in the middle of September and conclude the last Wednesday of April and meet for an hour, beginning at 7 p.m.

Preschool and kindergarten-age children meet in class groups organized by age in the church basement. Their evening includes a Bible lesson, activities and a singing time.

Children in 1st-5th grade meet together in the outside classroom buildings A & B. Their curriculum is called Dig In by Group Publishing.

Cancellation Policy: Wednesday night Bible classes are cancelled whenever USD 410 cancels classes due to bad weather. Should we feel it is not prudent for families to travel to the church, we may cancel Bible classes even if the local school district has held classes. We will contact you by phone call, email, or Facebook.

JEMBY, Junior Ebenfeld MB Youth, is a Wednesday night youth group for middle school students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. A team of Tabor College students lead this program. Bible studies, service projects, area church junior high youth events and special activities make-up a typical JEMBY school year schedule. They meet in the outside classroom D.

Summer Programs

A summer highlight is Vacation Bible School for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. The children move through various stations at which they hear a Bible story and enjoy a snack, and do other activities that relate to the morning Bible story and key Bible point.

Our denomination offers an excellent summer camping program for children who have completed 4th through 12th grades. For more information about the Southern District Conference camping program, visit www.sdcmb.org
